Grandmother of Europe – Victoria was previously the longest reigning monarch and during her reign there were huge changes in society – people lived longer, more people lived in cities, train travel, telephones. Her children married all over Europe and she had 30 grandchildren.

They also held the ‘GREAT EXHIBITION’ in 1851 which was to show off to the world all the great things we could do.
