Prinny- George IV loved architecture and oversaw the creation of many new buildings or updates. Royal Pavilion at Brighton, Regent Street, Regent’s park, created the National Gallery. He was called the Prince Regent as he ruled while his father suffered from mental health issues. The period is also called ‘Regency’ period.

George IV was acting as King long before he was crowned While his father George III suffered from mental health issues. In 1811 he took the oaths to be Regent (acting King) but was not King until 1920 when his father died.
